Their “passionistas” as the baristas are called - always bring the vibe and back it up with incredible coffee and food. Seattle Coffee
Seattle has always prided themselves on working hard to maintain a craft element to their offering, despite the radical growth in both store locations and staff. They live by the mantra “the way you like it” which means they aim to get people the coffee and food that they want to enjoy - from tiny takeaway kiosk to full blown cafe experience. Always popping up in new, trendy locations, with a team of incredible people leading the company - Seattle is a home away from home for any coffee lover.

Starbucks

It’s still pretty early in their South African journey, but Starbucks under their new management certainly have upped the ante in the franchise category. Keeping the global standards of the green mermaid is no easy job, while at the same time seeing South African Starbucks partners excel, such as Phuti Mmotla, who was named 2022's best Starbucks barista in EMEA after the championship final in Milan, means they are doing a fantastic job! Always on the money with their seasonal offerings, a very strong global menu and the power of the brand behind their retail offerings make Starbucks a front runner for this year's award.

The winners will be announced at the Coffee Magazine Awards 2022 at the CTICC on Saturday night, 3rd December 2022.
