So when I walked in to Hard Pressed Cafe
for our business meeting, I instantly wished I had arrived a few minutes earlier so I could have taken the time to explore and take it all in, because for the first 10 minutes of my meeting I was completely useless, I was distracted and struggled to focus. Coffee and music, it's a fabulous combination. Time and time again it is proven to me that 'vibe' can make or break an establishment. And this place has vibe. It's just a fun place to hang out. And the coffee was tasty and comforting on a blustery winters day. The coffee is roasted by TriBeCa, they've worked on their own special blend of rock n roll coffee.
I had a delicious toasted bagel with scrambled egg and salmon, laced with their chilli sauce which is sublime (it's called Mykonos Chilli Sauce, made locally by the Mykonos Taverna in Sea Point).
These photographs were pillaged from the Hard Pressed Facebook page (thank you, credit where credit is due), as I was there for a meeting (and I mentioned I was completely distracted by the vinyl right?)
