6 of the Best Kid Friendly Cafes

Friday, 3 July, 2015
It's holiday time again! Here are just a few of the spots we have tried and tested as parent and child friendly cafes that have babychinos on the menu :)

Sagewood Cafe, Pietermaritzburg
The delightful Sagewood Cafe in PMB actually inspired this post, in the middle of a nursery and under a beautiful big tree, there is an enclosed playground perfect for the kids while you sip on a Terbodore coffee.

Company's Garden, Cape Town
Plenty of tables located outside under the tall trees and overlooking the gardens, giant chessboard and unique children’s playground featuring giant birds nests – created by Porky Hefer – a huge highlight for the youngest visitors and Deluxe Coffee at the restaurant run by the Madame Zingara group!

19 Queen Victoria Street,

Book Boutique, Amanzimtoti
A classic book store with wonderful children's book readings and activities weekly! Love the focus on reading a real book in a digital world.

Lavender Blue, East London

Smile Cafe, Joburg

Amazing jungle gym, pizza ovens, a beautiful espresso machine and Mazzer grinder, it's a parent's dream restaurant and cafe!

Cedar Square, Fourways.

Knead, Muizenburg

They roast their own coffee beans and they are right on the doorstep of the Muizenburg Long Beach break and next door to the Roxy Learn 2 Surf school! Outdoor activity for the youngsters and freshly roasted coffee? Sorted for summer!

Surfer's Corner, Beach Road, Beach Rd, Muizenberg, Cape Town, 7945, South Africa

Cafe Roux,  Noordhoek

Café Roux is extremely child-friendly and we have placed an enormous emphasis on children.

Bordering on the farm village playground, we value the need for a place to go where children can play safely nearby, whilst the parents sit back and enjoy a meal and a cappuccino.
