This little video makes me feel calm and excited all at once. The ritual of it is soothing and the anticipation of how good that coffee would taste is thrilling. I especially love the shot of the filter paper; it's so close that you can see the weave of the paper. It reminds me how important the grind is to this (and every coffee brewing) process. Watch it full-screen for the full benefit of the photography. It's Academy Award week, let's appreciate the medium of film.
