R&R: When the Levee Breaks

Monday, 17 September, 2012

I woke up with some fight in me this morning. Fight to get the job done, to rock the socks off this week and to have an incredible time doing it. Threatening to be overwhelmed by the sheer number of things that need to happen before TheCoffeeMag print deadline, I turn to my home blend, The Bluff Bru! from Bean Green. Eish! It may not be the most elegant combination of beans, but man, does it have power. I pull the shot myself, because making coffee is ritual therapy. And I turn the music up really loud. When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move!

08- When The Levee Breaks by apreslerainbows

When the levee breaks was written by a blues duo Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie in the aftermath of the Great Mississippi Flood (thanks Wikipedia), but I've been a fan of the Led Zeppelin version since I was old enough to know what rock n' roll was. Enjoy.
